The Festival of Womanhood is the flagship gathering of the World Womanhood Project — a global movement to celebrate, heal and empower women across every nationality, culture and walk of life.
Womanhood is the nurturing aspect of existence — it pacifies, protects and creates. We gather because that strength deserves to be seen, celebrated and given a stage, so every woman feels honoured, supported and free to rise into her fullest self.
One immersive day where women of every background connect, express, heal and learn together — and a year-round community that keeps that sense of belonging alive long after the festival ends.
During a retreat with Mohanji, on a midnight swim by the seashore alongside fifteen women from many countries, Yelena Fassbender and Devi Mohan imagined a space dedicated entirely to empowering women. That feeling of sisterhood and freedom became the Festival.
The very first Festival of Womanhood was held online over three days, 8–10 April 2022, bringing women together across borders.
Hosted by Yelena Fassbender, Palak Mehta, Devi Mohan and Bharati Abrol, with panels on true femininity, balance and self-belief — and the festival's first Impact Awards.
Chief Guest Padma Bhushan Sonal Mansingh and Dr. Rashmi Singh, IAS joined a 10-award ceremony, two panels — "The Blossoming Lotus" and "Respecting Womanhood" — and four parallel healing, art and motherhood workshops.
8 March 2027. The theme: The Power of Womanhood — royals, a chief-guest keynote, the Impact Awards, and closing Conscious Dancing with Devi Mohan.

When Nikunj Naredi took the festival stage, she didn't speak about herself. She spoke about the rural women of Ahimsa Imprints — women learning a craft, earning an income, and rewriting what their daughters believe is possible. As Vice President of the Ammucare Charitable Trust and founder of Ahimsa Imprints, she turns the festival's spotlight into something that lasts long after the lamps are lit.
